On Saturday, TraditionAnew brought some Irish color to Belgrade.
In Atelje 212, in front of a excited Belgrade audience students of Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in Limerick performed.
In Chamber of Comerce of Serbia, TraditionAnew conference continued with more lectures.
Selena Rakočević and Milorad Lonić (Faculty of Music, Belgrade and “Vila” Ensemble, Novi Sad) presented “Blow, oh blow, you Cool Breeze. Medley of Dances and Songs from Gnjilane” Dramaturgical aspects in choreography of Milorad Lonić. Asja Krsmanović lecture was titled “Performance potential of sevdah”.
In the second part of the day, there were two more lectures. “Staged traditional folk dances as a part of contemporary arts in Serbia” by Zdravko Ranisavljević (Faculty of Music, Belgrade, CIOTIS) and “Critiquing the folk or critiquing the dance?” – Filip Petkovski (PhD Candidate, UCLA, Los Angeles).
In Bitef theatre, creative workshop started preparations for a perfomance that will close TraditionAnew on Sunday,
